Book a Photo Session

Hey there! Here is how it works

  1. Book a date with our on-site photographer for a 50€ (80 A$) deposit.

  2. The photographer will get in touch with you to arrange the location.

  3. Meet the photographer for a 60-90 minutes photo session. You will walk around the area for different backgrounds and you can do as many outfit changes as you like.

  4. Send the outstanding amount via bank transfer.

  5. Get 30 photos as JPEGs + all the good photos!

During the Photo Session

You will meet at a location that you arrange with the photographer. We usually have two suggestions, one classy and one more alternative location, but you can also make your own suggestions.

The times that are good for light are either early in the morning (9-10AM) or in the afternoon (2-4PM, depending on the time of year).

At the photo shoot you will chat the first few minutes with the photographer to warm up to each other before walking around the area and taking photos with different backgrounds.

 

Are you feeling nervous? Don't worry, everybody feels that way and our photographer is there to make you feel comfortable. They will tell you how to stand and where to look. Most people even enjoy it by the end of the photo shoot!

What to wear and bring

Clothing

Bring a variety of clothes, for example t-shirts, shirts and sweaters in light, dark and colorful colors that match your skin tone and fit you well. Dark trousers or jeans and boots usually always work. For outdoors, bring the nicest jacket you have.

Things that we have seen work well in the past are a combination of hoodie and leather jacket, v-neck tops and a beanie (cap).

Hair

  • Head: Keep it tidy and if you get a haircut, do it at least a few days before the photo shoot, so it can grow out a little bit and look natural.

  • Beard: Keep it tidy and trim it if needed.

  • Eyebrows: Make sure your eyebrows are tidy (if you have a monobrow - that means hair in the middle of your eyebrows - we recommend to get it plucked beforehand)

Accessories

These are just some examples of things you may bring in order to show your interests and hobbies in the photos:

  • Big headphones

  • Laptop

  • Bicycle, motorbike or skateboard

  • Instruments

  • Other gadgets from your hobbies

Locations in Berlin

Location Choices - Each location has a city and nature part and you will also take photos seating in i.e. a cafe:

1. Warschauer Straße (Meeting point at the corner of Simon Dach / Revaler Straße): More alternative with graffiti walls in RAW-Gelände but you will also have basic backgrounds and a nature part.

2. Brandenburger Tor (Meeting point in front of Akademie der Künste): More classy. You will take photos in front of the nice buildings in the area and also go to the park. Brandenburger Tor is just the meeting point, you will not just get photos in front of a tourist attraction of course!

3.Feel free to suggest another location. The two we suggest are the ones that we know that work well and have a big variety of backgrounds, so if you suggest your own, be aware that the photographer will not know the area that well. But usually, we can make it work.

Rescheduling

To book your date, a 50€ (80 A$) deposit is required. In case something comes up for you, we are happy to reschedule once within a year. For rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice, there is a cancelation fee of 20€ (30 A$). Please send an email to hi@datingphotos.net as well as let the photographer know.

The remaining amount can be paid by bank transfer in up to one week from the day I send your invoice.

In case of the weather being too bad for the photo shoot to take place, rescheduling is free of charge. You and the photographer can decide that together on the day and they will let me know.
